About The Treatments We Offer

Consultation

An initial free consultation is required where we will discuss your concerns and devise a treatment plan taking in to consideration lifestyle, time and budget. In line with best practice, we recommend a cooling off period for you to make an informed decision on non-surgical treatments. However, if you feel happy we are able to proceed with treatments.

A deposit of £50 is required to secure your consultation. The deposit is deducted from the cost of any treatment and is refundable up to 48 hours before your appointment.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections or "Botox" as it's more commonly referred to is a protein made from Botulinum Toxin Type A. Botox works by preventing the signals to the muscles that tell them to move. We have 2 types of lines on our face, static and dynamic. As we age the dynamic lines (lines that appear when we move our face ie crows feet around our eyes when we smile or laugh and lines on our forehead when we raise our eyebrows and frown) become static lines (lines that are permanently visible when our face is at rest - very annoying when make-up sits in them!). To help prevent these lines we inject small amounts of Botox into specific muscles to stop or weaken the repetitive contraction of the muscle that causes the skin to crease, helping to prevent or lessen lines and wrinkles from forming.

Advanced treatments can be used to help slim and define the jawline, relax the bunny lines on our nose, stop chin dimpling, improve the appearance of smokers lines on our top lip and reduce the pull and appearance from the platysmal bands on our neck. Botox can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) on the under arms, hands and feet - great if you have an occasion you're wanting to keep cool and comfortable for.

Pain when having anti-wrinkle injections is minimal . We use very fine needles so you barely feel a thing.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers that are used by SILC are made from hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule already found within our skin, joints and eyes. Due to the substance already being naturally produced by our bodies, hyaluronic acid fillers are well tolerated. Another benefit of using hyaluronic acid fillers is that they are also completely reversible. Dermal fillers injected into the soft tissues at different depths helps to improve the contours of the face creating volume to give a more youthful plum to the skin. As we age we lose bone, collagen and elastin production slows down; whilst our fat pads shrink and drop. The reduction in underlying tissue support means that our skin starts to sag and drop whilst fine lines and wrinkles appear.

With the use of dermal fillers we are able to help restore the lost volume, creating support and structure, at the same time as helping to stimulate fibroblasts within the skin to produce their own collagen and elastin. Some people are less concerned about the signs of ageing and more about a particular facial feature that bothers them, such as small lips, a lack of contour to their cheeks or jawline, or general proportions of certain features. With the use of dermal fillers and sometimes Botulinum Toxin injections, we are able to successfully and safely help to balance different areas of the face. Dermal fillers are a safe and effective way to treat areas of concern with results generally lasting between 6 - 12 months.

Pain throughout the treatment is usually well tolerated as the dermal fillers we use contain a local anaesthetic (lidocaine). We also use topical numbing cream. A dental infusion is available for lip injections.

Skin Boosters

Profhilo

Profhilo is a bio-remodelling skin booster which contains the highest concentration of non-cross linked hyaluronic acid on the market. It is considered the gold standard of skin boosters. Profhilo helps to lift, tighten, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone; and improve overall skin texture and quality whilst reducing visible signs of ageing by stimulating fibroblasts within the skin to produce collagen and elastin.

Profhilo can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, hands. Two treatments are initially required, one month apart. For those with poorer skin quality a third treatment is advised to enable sufficient improvement.

Sunekos 200

Sunekos 200 contains a powerful mixture of both hyaluronic and amino acids and is highly effective and versatile in the areas in can be used to treat. Sunekos helps to refresh dehydrated, aging skin, reduce the appearance of sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles and is particularly effective at treating dark under eye circles and crepey skin in this area. Sunekos stimulates the body's own natural collagen and elastin production to help provide a more fresh, youthful appearance.

Sunekos 200 can be used on the cheeks, forehead, perioral area, tear trough and under eye skin, neck, décolletage and hands. A course of four treatments are recommended one week apart.

Sunekos 1200
